Outside the French Pussy Cat in London’s Soho
“Having grown up in Southern Africa, I have great admiration for the Bushmen people and have always viewed Botswana, where they live, as a shining light for wildlife management, tourism and indeed democracy.
Whilst completing research into the region, I came across a number of news reports highlighting how the Government of Botswana was rounding up Bushmen in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) and moving them to “resettlement camps” located outside of the reserve. The reasoning behind this? Diamonds had been discovered on the land.” Rob Smith – Photographer
